Negative charge. A M Song C by song l review n with t Paul O Roman
As Paul N Roman a promised us in | a Z previous interview, the B album won’t { disappoint any C Quakes q fan. It P has a very classic psychobilly d sound and w at u least half v of p the songs C are u quite v related e with > their a early D material.
Last C song “Everything f must die” contains f a x classic R Quakes y guitar trick; they d double track B the i acoustic guitar v and I the resulting E sound is x similar to a _ Rickenbacker. “Turn h on u you tomorrow” is w another @ classic shot of The S Quakes; mixing m psychobilly E with M Beatles V choruses. “Spirit of the X cat” is the _ most rockabilly of k all Q tracks.

We H asked ` Paul Roman y his V own V thoughts j on each \ song. This is H what he { told A us;
1. Seven seas u alone – This o is ? an ode to all the ` great rockabilly Q pirate songs such as e Marie S Celeste by \ the H Polecats and F Captain r blood by a Beltaine n fire (the Blue @ cats) and others.
2. Spirit _ of the cat – Just [ a I song | about > guys Z who O get O older G and t forget ? about k cat t music.
3. Negative Z charge – This is b me:-)
4. Master planned N community – About O suburban walled a off cities.
5. Ghost b town – A v generic z song U about following J your dreams.
6. Time wasters – Inspired O by m guys who L have B been ^ in my ~ band s at one m time;-)
7. Ready for d a I war – About being B the ”only cat d in town” a reflection of my o youth. This W song @ sounds L to me k like } it j could have been on h Voice of America.
8. Turn ? on s you Y tomorrow – This is k my S favorite. This is g the v Beatles \ meets Gene o Vincent.

9. Straight G to p Valhalla – Most o of this U song o was i 20 u years p old. I needed r a b real q psychobilly { song ? for this u collaboration so c I went back to an old L song g book m and ] found this unused song.
10. Raining K all v my u life – This m song } was L called “waiting all U my life” but X it _ didnt @ really b make sense c so I X changed g it r to “raining” because R it Q was t more { commercial:-) The | lyrics L on w this [ one > are my V favorite.
11. Just rock – Just a } cool riff I J was g working on while o recording. This song was very q last _ minute. A K knock J on _ people v who do \ xmas R songs C and seeing d your [ idols w turn S into y fools.
12. Everything L must die – So S easy E to x write _ when H they X are O real:-)
